Ariana: Reveal the Shining Mermaid for Expanding Symbols and Free Spins

The siren’s call beckons you in Games Global’s Ariana. Finding real-life mermaids might not be easy but why not try to find them in this slot with the help of expanding symbols and re-triggerable free spins? Let me tell you why I wasn’t very impressed with this title. 

The first thing to note is the easy base game with 5 reels and 3 rows that come with medium volatility and 25 paylines. Although it sounds profitable, the symbol pays are the biggest letdown of the game. On average, I was making wins every 2 to 4 spins that gave me returns along the lines of 0.6x to 2.8x my bet. 

Although bigger wins up to 6x are possible, they require stacked symbols to land on the reels which was very hard to trigger during my playthrough. The biggest win I made during the base game was 9.6x my bet thanks to 3 stacked Mermaid symbols but it took me early 40 spins to get there. 

Wilds were a major part of the quick wins in the slot but I also noticed a distinct lack of scatters which is why getting to the free spins bonus game was also tricky. I was able to trigger the feature after about 80 spins with a fairly impressive 23x win but that didn’t make the game profitable in the long run either. 

Ultimately, the Ariana slot game by Games Global comes across as a half-hearted attempt at making a title that has a fantasy theme. It lacks the visual flair that makes the game immersive and does not lean into the theme enough to create features that would aid the story. 

I will not recommend trying out the slot because it’s not profitable in the long run either.
