Island Desire from BetSoft is a well-designed online slot that looks fantastic and has plenty of features to keep players entertained. The setting is a gorgeous tropical island in the evening, with relaxing island music playing in the background and the sound of waves and seabirds heard too.

I quite enjoyed the gameplay as well. The slot had 243 ways to win on every spin, and thanks to this, I won fairly often. Most of my payouts were on the smaller side, though there was one turn where I won 28x my bet thanks to the wild substituting for the 7 symbol.

The highlight of my playthrough was the Hold & Win respin feature, where I had the chance to win the slot’s six jackpot prizes. This feature triggered on its own after a while, giving me a payout of 19x my bet. There was the option to buy Hold & Win for 28x, and I decided to take the risk. Unfortunately, it didn’t pay off as I won just 12x the first time I bought the feature, then 10x the second.

Both times I paid for Hold & Win, I didn’t land many other symbols beyond the ones that triggered the feature, hence the rather low payouts. I guess this was just bad luck on my part. Island Desire had two other features: a pick-me game with jackpot prizes as rewards and a nudging multiplier wild reel. I didn’t get to play the pick-me game, nor did I ever see the nudging multiplier wild reel.

Still, I did like Island Desire and thought it had good potential. Even though I didn’t get to experience all of its features, I would still recommend it. As always, think twice about buying special features because it’s a risk and there’s never a guarantee you’ll make your money back.
