Fire 777 by CQ9 Gaming took the classic one-armed bandit formula and gave it a modern facelift. With fire and ice battle in the background, I spend over 300 spins seeing whether this fiery showdown could offer more than nostalgia.

This is a five-reel, three-row slot with 20 paylines. The reels are filled with classic symbols like sevens, bells, bars, stars, and fruits. Landing three or more matching symbols across a payline awards you a win. 

During my session, wins were landing pretty frequently. I was landing a payout roughly every 3 to 4 spins, while my average returns stayed between 1x and 2x my bet. The frequent hits helped keep the balance relatively stable, even though most payouts were on the smaller side.

Thanks to five sevens lining up perfectly, I managed to land a 10x return, which ended up being the biggest base game payout of my entire session. Landing three or more Scatters triggers the bonus round. It took me nearly 50 spins to reach my first bonus feature.

Inside the bonus, the slot transforms into a classic one-reel setup where you need to land three matching symbols on a single spinning reel. If you manage to do so, you can win up to 500x your bet. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on my side. I failed to land a matching combination and walked away empty-handed.

I triggered the bonus feature three separate times during my session, but every attempt ended in heartbreak. There is also no bonus buy option available to force my way into the bonus. 

For me, Fire 777 succeeded in recreating the feel of a traditional slot machine. However, the absence of wilds, multipliers, or any rewarding mechanics makes it outdated. If you enjoy straightforward old-school gameplay, Fire 777 may still hold some appeal. But if you are after more rewarding payouts, there are a few good alternatives available below.
