The Greek themed online slot games are very popular and highly appreciated, and that’s an understatement. Taking this into consideration, it’s very hard for providers to come up with something new when using that theme, trying to get the player’s attention. iSoftBet thought that the way to do this is to use another crowd favorite, the Megaways mechanics and its seemingly infinite ways to win. And so Olympus Zeus Megaways was born. 

Let’s pick it apart now, to see what really makes it tick. So, we established that the theme is the highly popular, Greek Mythology one, but we need to get a quick look at the visuals. The verdict is…they are top notch, as expected by an iSoftBet title. The soundtrack is also up there, completing the nice aspect of the game. Now, for the fun part, the actual gameplay. Well, here it gets tricky if you ask me. The Megaways technology should, on paper, bring you close to infinite ways to win, but my time spent playing this game has been nothing short of disappointing. The wins were  scarce and small, and I had to refill my virtual wallet more than once. On paper, the game has some very interesting features like Free Spins with Multipliers and Random Wilds called Zeus Wilds. It also has a Buy Feature form where you can unlock the Free Spins. I say on paper because those Free Spins were really really elusive. And when I eventually triggered them, they weren’t a bit generous. The Buy Feature was a bigger disappointment as I tried it 4 times and every time I didn’t even manage to break even. As for the Megaways, the advertised Max Megaways feature was like a mirage. The whole session, and must say I spent some time playing Olympus Zeus Megaways, I didn’t manage to trigger once.

So, what can I say? My experience with this online slot was not good. Granted, it has some fun parts, especially the artwork, animations and sounds. The not so fun part is the part that really matters, it’s lucrative, to speak in technical terms. But, don’t necessarily take my word for it. Go on and try it out for yourself, although caution is advised!

Tip to Win: Play it on Autoplay for 15 spins and on the max bet setting. It was the best set up for me.
