Initially, I felt disappointed with the game design as the visuals seemed too basic and there was no background music. However, considering that the game was released in 2014 and the potential for profitability inside, its design shortcomings are somewhat forgivable.

The game is played on a 3x5 grid, with 30 paylines to match symbols for payouts. I made matching combinations with the card royal symbols every 3 to 5 spins in the base game, earning 0.2x to 3x returns. Chinese-themed symbols like the golden tortoise, teapot, lantern, and the word “Fu” brought bigger wins occasionally. I recall earning 25.7x for making different combos with the tortoise and lantern on a spin.

However, the true mystery in the China Mystery slot seems to be the free spins game. I was pleasantly surprised when I activated 160 free games with 7 scatters on the reels. Upon activation, you get an option to choose a random instant payout or play the spins. I chose to play the 160 free spins and earned over 162x, with the help of the x2 multipliers applied to wins during the game. This was my biggest win from a free spins game in recent times.

No Free Spins

I don't know how lucky you need to be to trigger the free spins, I suppose you need to be anyone except me, I played slot for about 25 minutes and 1.6k was the only significant win that I received

WILL NOT PLAY AGAIN

Well, I've played other konami games and they all just look the same, differ only the themes, as for this one please avoid it as it won't give you the pleasure of winning, look at my screenshot

China Mystery is alright

Played for about an hour, got a couple of small wins, but nothing too exciting.The free spins are easy to trigger, but the payouts were pretty average. It's a decent game, but don't expect huge wins unless you get really lucky.
