PLAYTECH ALIEN HUNTER SLOT REVIEW
Who would’ve thought that outer space can be a place filled with riches beyond your wildest dreams? Well, now’s your chance to explore it and see what it has to offer. The Alien Hunter video slot was released in 2007 by developer Playtech and will have you hunting for aliens and riches in your very own spaceship.
The Alien Hunter slot comes with a setup of 5 reels and 25 paylines, an RTP of 96% and a free demo version that you can try right on this page for free. However, if you want the full alien hunter experience, you’ll have to head over to our Real Money Slots and start betting real money.
HOW TO PLAY THE ALIEN HUNTER SLOT
You’ll have to start your career as an alien hunter by placing your bets using coin amounts that range from 1 to 5. We found the volatility to be set on the low side of things but the 96% RTP will make you worth your while, even though you’ll find yourself needing a bit more patience. You can play this slot on both your PC and mobile devices.
The most common symbols you’ll see on the reels are the playing cards (10, J, Q, K and A) and that’s because they’re the lowest paying ones, awarding you anywhere between 5 and 150 coins for three or more of the same kind. Then you’ll have three weird looking aliens in the medium paying range, the orange one rewarding you with 1000 coins for 5 on an active payline.
ALIEN HUNTER SLOT FEATURES
Wild symbol. The caged alien is the Wild symbol of this slot, replacing any other symbol on the reels except for the Scatter. It’s also the highest paying symbol in the base game, giving you 1000 coins for 5 on an active payline.
Scatter symbol. The Scatter is the spaceship and it will trigger the Free Spins bonus round. It can’t be replaced by the Wild and it can appear on any reel.
Free Spins feature. The Free Spins feature can be triggered by landing three, four or five Scatters in the same spin. You’ll be awarded with 5, 10 and 25 free spins respectively and even though there’s no multiplier, this feature can be re-triggered.
Alien Egg bonus. Land the alien egg anywhere on the reels 1 and 5 to trigger this special feature. You’ll then get to collect some eggs by clicking on them and collecting instant cash prizes or multipliers. When you find the head jumper alien, the round is over.
Spaceman Bonus. Land three spaceman symbols anywhere on the middle three reels and you will trigger this special bonus round. You’ll get to play a Skill Game (click on six aliens within 15 seconds to win money) or a Luck Game (same thing but with no time limit and smaller prizes).
Progressive Jackpot feature. You’ll have to manually enable this feature using the button above the reels. Each bet will then cost you a little more but in turn, the slot turns into a lottery-style game with, you guessed it, a lottery sized prize. All you have to do is pick any 5 numbers between 1 and 49 on each spin. If you guessed all the numbers, you’ll win the maximum jackpot.
Despite its age, Alien Hunter does a really great job at keeping you entertained for hours on end. The graphics are cartoony and fun and the multitude of features (that not many modern slots have) just add to the excitement. We definitely encourage you to give this one a try. You won’t regret it!
