Book of Chilli Big Bass Jackpot Bonanza Slot Review & Free Play

Book of Chilli Big Bass Jackpot Bonanza: Find The Spiciest Sauces For Free Spins and Progressive Jackpots

Pragmatic Play sets its latest Book-style slot on fire with Book of Chilli Big Bass Jackpot Bonanza, replacing the usual Egyptian setting with fiery chili symbols carrying up to 500x payouts and four progressive jackpots. The Wilds can also double as Scatters, while the Free Spins let you choose a symbol that can expand across entire reels.

The 5x3 grid has 10 paylines, with symbol pays ranging from 0.50x to 500x my bet. That's quite a massive range, and I liked that the higher-paying symbols can pay from just two matching symbols. Early on, I was landing smaller 0.50x combinations every 2 to 3 spins, but it took around five minutes of spinning before I started seeing bigger 2x to 3x payouts.

The Wilds can pay up to 200x and also act as Scatters, substituting for the regular symbols while giving me a way into the bonus. I saw them land fairly often on reels 2 and 3, and they helped produce some of my bigger base-game hits. Landing 3 or more Wilds triggers 10 Free Spins, with additional Wilds during the bonus able to extend the round.

Before the Free Spins begin, you choose one regular paying symbol to become the expanding symbol. Every time enough of that symbol lands to create a winning combination, the symbols expand vertically to fill their entire reel. Three or more Wilds during the feature add another 10 spins, with no limit on retriggers.

I landed three Wild Scatters alongside a bigger combination for a 17.50x payout before the Free Spins had even started. I selected the 10-value symbol for my expanding symbol, and it didn't take long to see why this feature can be dangerous for the bankroll. Twice, I filled four reels with the chosen symbol for a clean 25x payout, while another spin covered the entire grid and paid a massive 100x win. By the time the feature ended, I had collected a respectable 188x my bet.

Book of Chilli Big Bass Jackpot Bonanza keeps the familiar Book formula but gives its symbols enough room to grow into massive wins.
