The base game features a large 7x7 grid, ideal for the cascading reels mechanic and cluster pays that reward combinations of 5 or more similar symbols. While I usually prefer traditional paylines, the Sweet Kingdom was an enjoyable exception, delivering winning clusters every 2 to 5 spins with payouts typically ranging from 0.40x to 2.50x my bet. 

Between these spins, I also found chests full of cash rewards that could be activated by landing a key symbol on the reels. These weren’t super high by any means but I appreciated the occasional 2x to 6x wins as they helped me get back a bit of my bankroll that the base game was eating up. 

The bonus game requires 3 golden star scatter symbols to land anywhere on the reels. Despite the massive number of symbols on the grid, getting to the bonus was quite hard for me. When I did land the 3 scatters required, I was given 10 free spins where I had little hope for big wins but I managed to land 6 treasure symbols with a key to push my wins up to a massive 326.55x my bet. 

However, when I tried triggering the feature again using a few bonus buys, I wasn’t able to replicate my initial success. On that note, I ended my playthrough of Sweet Kingdom by Pragmatic Play with a few key takeaways.
