Hot Heist: Pull Off a Museum Robbery For up to 10,000x Wins

We're pulling up to Ocean Drive in a drop-top supercar to rob a museum without getting caught in TrueLab's Hot Heist. Hack into the security system with scatter laptops that also act as wilds, smash open cases for up to 10,000x, and make a run for it before the cops show up. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, let’s just say I wasn’t working with professionals here.

The game sticks to a 5x3 grid with just 10 paylines, while symbol values range from 0.50x to 500x your bet. The lone special symbol carries the entire game, acting as both a Wild and a Scatter while paying up to 500x on its own. The limited number of paylines does make itself known, though. Coming from modern Megaways or cluster-pay slots, I kept seeing symbols line up on adjacent reels without paying simply because they missed one of the fixed paylines.

Most of my session played out exactly as I'd expected. Wins landed every three to four spins, usually paying between 0.50x and 2.50x my bet. Nothing spectacular, but enough to keep the bankroll ticking over. The highlight came around the 40th spin, when five pistol symbols lined up perfectly across a payline for a clean 75x payout. The potential is definitely there, but so much depends on whether the symbols happen to fall on one of those ten winning lines.

Eventually, three Wild-Scatter symbols unlocked the Jewel Heist Pick & Click bonus. The feature gives you three picks to reveal hidden cash prizes on a 3x3 grid before your attempts run out. My first robbery went surprisingly well, uncovering 25x, 10x, and 7x prizes for a respectable 42x payout. I managed to crack the museum a second time later in the session, but this run was filled with much smaller prizes and ended at just 7x my bet.

This is one risky heist, and unlike GTA, you don't get to pick your crew or spend time casing the place beforehand. The Pick & Click bonus has decent winning potential, but the restrictive paylines make too many decent-looking spins feel like missed opportunities. I got in, grabbed what I could, and got out. I don't see myself planning another robbery anytime soon, and crime definitely didn’t pay this time.
