Jewels: Land Precious Stones For Big Wins and Respins

An old-school title from Belatra Games, Jewels is a short and simple slot title featuring colorful gems of all shapes and sizes, a sticky wild respin feature, and two different risk games. Although a perfect place to start for beginners, I will not recommend you try it, and here’s why.  

The base game here gives you a 5x3 grid with 10 fixed paylines and medium volatility. Seems pretty run of the mill until you look at the RTP which sits at a low 92.48%. This is also reflected in the gameplay as wins are a little too scarce to make real profits. 

Sure I was getting between 1x to 6x returns on my bet when I landed a matching combination of symbols but it took me between 5 to 9 spins to get there. Although the wild respin is a handy way to make decent wins and is fairly easy to land, it was still not enough to actually make a profit during gameplay. 

Coming to the risk game, I should mention that you can select the red or black or card double mini-game from the settings. You can also completely turn it off, but I wouldn’t recommend doing that as it is necessary to turn a profit during gameplay. 

Once again, you’d think that this mini-game would offset the losses during the lost spins but winning that 2x or 4x reward is easier said than done. It was highly unpredictable as I did not find a consistent way to win a majority of the rounds in the mini-game. 

People who enjoy classic slot titles might look at Jewels by Belatra Games as a fun and light-hearted option to enjoy a few spins. However, I’d advise looking for other titles from our extensive list of games right here on Slotsmate.
