BetSoft Top Card Trumps Game Overview
Top Card Trumps is a card game from BetSoft that’s easy to learn and quick to play. Take on the dealer in this card comparing game and see if your hand is the better one!
How to Play the Top Card Trumps Game
Playing Top Card Trumps couldn’t be any easier. Once you’ve got the game loaded, the next thing to do is to place your ante bet. Before placing this bet, decide whether you want to bet on one, two or three hands; the price of the ante bet will vary accordingly. When you’re happy with your bet, click to have the cards dealt. Top Card Trumps uses six standard decks of cards. First, the dealer receives one card; then, you receive one card for each hand you’ve decided to bet on.
Every card you receive is compared with the dealer’s. For every one of your cards that outranks the dealer’s you’ll be paid 1:1 on your bet. If you bet on three hands and all three cards beat the dealer’s, you’ll receive a decent overall payout. However, betting on three or even just two hands can be costly as there’s every chance the dealer’s one card could outrank all of yours. For Top Card Trumps, 2s are the lowest-ranking cards, while aces are the highest-ranking cards.
If one of your cards matches the dealer’s, there are two things you can do: fold or go to war. Decide to fold and you’ll lose half of your bet. Decide to go to war and you’ll be required to place a second bet that’s equal to your first bet. You and the dealer each receive a new card. If your second card equals or beats the dealer’s second card, your ante bet is returned to your and you’re paid 1:1 on your raise bet. If the dealer’s second card beats your second card, you lose both your ante and your raise bets.
To play, you first need to place your bet. Down in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen you’ll see five betting chips: 1, 5, 25, 100 and 500. To place a bet, select a chip so it’s highlighted, then select one of the three ‘ANTE’ spaces on the gaming table. You can bet on one, two or three of ‘ANTE’ spaces and for each one, you can bet a maximum of 500 - you can use any combination of chips, so long as the value doesn’t go over 500.
As well as the main ante and raise bets, the game has an optional side bet. You can place this before the game starts. This bet pays out 10:1 if the game results in a tie. Hit ‘DEAL’ to start playing once you’ve got a bet amount set.
