Cygnus 4: Match The Starts To Get up to 32x Multipliers And Free Spins

Set in a starry night sky in a peaceful Medieval cityscape, Cygnus 4 by ELK Studios is the fourth entry to the beloved series named after a constellation. I was super impressed by the slot’s commitment to standing out with round symbols that tumble down with wins, the big cascades, and game area expansion. 

Upon starting the game I was met with the 6x4 grid with its unique look and medieval-looking symbols. Each win during the base game makes the matching symbols disappear and the symbols above it tumble down. Additionally, you also see the game area expand by 2 additional reels which can go up to become a 6x8 grid. 

Despite the high volatility, I was making wins every 3 to 5 spins with the wins varying between 0.20x to 4x my bet. The bigger wins come with landing multipliers and level-up symbols which unlock tiers of various win multipliers for a round and go up to 32x returns. 

Getting there won’t be easy though, after extensive testing I was regularly getting up to 4x multipliers and my highest win was caused by a 16x multiplier. Although significant, I will advise caution before expecting to reach the top quickly. 

Just remember that these symbols only activate if they are touching the leftmost reel or the bottom of the grid. Getting them there isn’t very hard at first thanks to the ample wild symbols that drop down the reels to help you make small matching combinations. 

You also have an incredibly rare free spins mini-game which took me an eternity to trigger because the free drop symbols are super rare and getting them to activate is also very unlikely. However, getting to that free spins round can mean an extra 15x to 25x return which is very profitable. 

Unfortunately, you don’t get a bonus buy mechanic in this slot which can help you skip the base game. In spite of that, I still believe that Cygnus 4 by ELK Studios is a novel concept that takes the Cygnus trilogy forward with a solid base game that is profitable with enough action to keep you entertained for a long time.
