Aztec Gold Extra Gold Megaways: Losing to the... Max?

Where can I begin? This slot has so many promising features, and I will get into each of them today. But first, let’s concentrate on the visuals, as they are the first thing we see when launching the game.

I like the color palette. It fits the Aztec theme well, and it is also eye candy for the players. Well, for me. Anyways, I liked the layout as it is intuitive and I believe that the sound effects are on point, as I don’t like boring slots.

But… we also have some crazy animations, and lots and lots of features. I really liked the cascading wins, but I don’t know why I didn’t notice them until late in the game. Maybe the graphics are… too much, after all. And they can be distracting.

As I was spending an eternity waiting for the Scatters to land, they didn’t, therefore I used the “Buy” option to trigger the Aztec Gold Cash Respins, the Max Megaways version. I just had to fill a whole reel in order to get the multiplier. The feature overall was… not very lucrative. With a bet of 0.20 I got to a final win of 10.40. But I bought the bonus for 30.00. Therefore, I don’t recommend buying it. Sure, it is an experience, it is fun and looks good, but I don’t see the worth.

I also bought the basic bonus, without the Max. Well, here it was an interesting experience. With the same bet of 0.20 I managed to get a 7.20 win. So, I can say that these got me thinking, but same, the feature was bought for 20.00. So… it’s a no from me.

The Montezuma feature didn’t trigger in my gameplay. And I played games with random features, such as Agent of Hearts. However, here I just see another slot where the providers focused too much on the visuals and animations, and less on the mechanics.

If you are a fan of Aztec slots, like me, there are lots of games to choose from. I honestly don’t recommend this one for real money, maybe just for fun or a few spins with a smaller bet. All in all, if you ask me, the base game can get boring after some time.
