I always enjoyed slots with different layouts and rules. I believe that Red Rake Gaming really nailed it with Shaman Song, in terms of originality.

The thing is, with each win and combo, we are given an additional reel. And as the wins are pretty often, I reached the full screen in no time. This way, new paylines are obtained, and the crystal meters fill faster for free spins. I managed to trigger the green ones pretty fast in my gameplay, with almost no dull spins. The mechanism makes it look like they are hard to trigger, but the truth is that there are 3 different features that can trigger, depending on the gem color, so there are more chances.

The layout is great, in my opinion. I like the color combination, and I think it fits the theme well. Sounds are a good choice as well. The animations are on point, as well. As these are things that matter to me, I believe they are worth mentioning in Shaman Song.

On the other hand, I noticed that, besides green crystals, the purple and the blue ones are not showing so often; therefore, the green crystals feature is more accessible. There is also a three crystals symbol which fills them all with a point, but it only showed three times in my gameplay.

Talking about the free spins, I loved it. I had two special symbols, the wolf and the horse, and they got animated when triggering wins, which was a nice addition.

While I can say that this is one of those games that may give you goosebumps if you are into Native culture, it may also not fit those looking for a more common, classic online slot experience. However, I don’t necessarily consider this a con.
