Dragon’s Luck Power Reels is set in an old Oriental temple. Two dragon statues curl up the pillars on both sides of the reels, and they occasionally blow fire onto the reels. This mechanism changes some of the symbols to create a winning combo.

I like how Red Tiger stylized the standard card symbols to make them appear more Chinese.  The high-paying symbols are inspired by Chinese legends regarding luck. They include the lotus flower, goldfish, doll, and dragon coin. Not to forget the number 138 (highest-paying with a 3888X prize) The soundtrack of the game is also reminiscent of old kung-fu movies.

While the artwork is excellent, I found the gameplay quite boring. In my experience, there is very little action in between spins.

The main symbol I looked out for was the gold coin set. This comes around in almost every spin, and all the coins are flipped to reveal a matching symbol. I occasionally made winning combinations because of this feature. However, I wouldn’t say it’s lucrative.

Mega Coins landed a little more rarely in my experience. But when you get them, you’re guaranteed a payout. So, how do they work? Mega Coins simply occupy large positions on the grid, from 3 by 3 to 6 by 6. It is even possible to get a coin that measures 6 by 10. Keep in mind that multiple Mega Coins can land on the reels in a single spin, guaranteeing huge payouts.

Unfortunately, the game doesn’t have a free spins feature. There is also no bonus game, so you’ll simply have to cross your fingers and hope to get a Mega Coin.

Overall, I would say that this slot machine is quite plain. It has sharp artwork and graphics, but that’s about everything I enjoyed in the game. The Mega Coins may be lucrative, but they hardly ever land on the reels.
