Triple Cash: More Like Triple Fail
Victor Catalin rated this game:
1.5 out of 5
Triple Cash is a classic video poker game that features a simple 5-card draw format with a decent payout table. Each round, after your initial bet, you can choose to discard the card you want to change, and redraw them to potentially score a winning hand.
The nice part is that all the information you need is displayed on the screen, from the winning hand payouts, to your balance and bet amount. The usable buttons are clearly visible, making the interface itself easy to navigate and use. On the other hand, the visuals feel very dated, and the cards themselves have a low quality appearance. The game lets you choose from card design, and it even includes casino chips and bingo ball style “cards”.
Unfortunately, I’ve played many games in this category, and I can safely say that Triple Cash feels more like Triple Fail. The graphics are too rudimentary for my taste, and the gameplay itself doesn’t seem fun at all. The winnings were scarce, and I wasn’t having a lucrative experience at all. And let’s not talk about the sound effects that I muted almost immediately after opening up the game. They somehow match the low quality vibe of the visuals, because they sound awful.
The only redeeming qualities of the game are the autoplay feature that you can use to also speed up your game and the inclusion of special multiplies that you can trigger if you get specific card hands. Sad to say that it wasn’t enough for me to have a fun experience with the game, and I can hardly recommend it.
- Interesting mechanics
- Awful visuals
- Worse sound effects
- Not lucrative enough
