81 JokerX: The Golden Joker’s Hidden Gems

When I first started up Tom Horn Gaming’s “81 JokerX” I wasn’t hoping for much. I expected the same cookie-cutter theme and symbols mixed with a few multipliers and free spins. 

The intro was quite catchy with a golden joker mask taking center stage with confetti on its two sides. Once I hit the continue button on the screen I was directly transported to the reels where I started spinning for about an hour.

In the meantime, I started small, across the 4x4 grid which is a bit unconventional but fun at the same time. After spinning the reels for a good amount of time I was getting wins every 5 or 6 spins and a few win multipliers here and there thanks to the medium volatility, but I wasn’t all in on the gamble feature yet. 

That seemed to be the error as the game truly shines in its bonus win gamble feature. After a win, you can choose between red or black symbols with double or 4x wins if you guess the upside-down card’s symbol correctly. 

I made some big wins by doing this but there was always the threat of losing which I did more than winning. I’d recommend you take the plunge on smaller wins but leave the bigger ones as the risk is too high here. 

Landing wilds is also very important in the game as not only do they substitute for all paying symbols, each wild symbol landed multiplies its line win by 2x. The highest you can go is up to 8x but during my playthrough I only got up to 4x. 

That’s all the bonus features you have but sometimes less is more and I felt that while spinning the reels of 81 JokerX. It’s not the most feature-rich entry you will find here but what it does, it does well. For a beginner or someone who wants a casual experience, I’d recommend trying the game out for yourself.
