Colin the Cat gets points for originality. It doesn’t use the tired symbols and instead goes for the house cat theme. With only 4 reels and 10 paylines, the game is more of a classic slot than a video slot. Add this to the fact that it has no free spins features. 

My first impression of the game was its sharp graphics and appropriate soundtrack. Whenever you win a prize, the cat will make a meow sound to alert you. Throughout the game, you’ll enjoy calm sounds that even make losing streaks bearable. 

As I’ve mentioned, the game doesn’t have bonus features. You only get the option of gambling your winnings (double or nothing). The interesting this is that you’ll have 7 opportunities for doubling the reward. That means lucky players can pocket huge sums of money with this feature. 

The gambling game takes place on a separate screen. Colin will be in the middle of the action, and you have to pick one of the two mouseholes. If he gets a mouse, your winnings will be doubled, and you’ll get another chance to double whatever amount you have accumulated. This goes on for 7 rounds. The trick is that any time you pick an empty mousehole, the entire prize will be lost. 

Something else I liked about the game is the fact that you can pick your preferred volatility level. This can be low, medium, or high. Still, I should mention that I didn’t get big wins at any level. 

Overall, the game seems suitable for players who like cute cats. It is very light on features but has an excellent theme. Choosing your volatility level is also a nice touch. While the gambling feature has great potential, you shouldn’t use it carelessly. I wasn’t able to make more than 3 correct predictions at any time.
