Gold Strike is a fruit-themed online slot from Blueprint Gaming that’s been given a modern makeover. It has an electric theme and, unlike other slots with a fruit theme, comes with some exciting special features. I was keen to give this slot a try, and here’s what I thought of it.

As I played Gold Strike, I was very impressed by the rock-style music playing in the background, the realistic sound effects, and the animations. I also liked how the background isn’t a static image; instead, it’s always moving, which is a nice touch. 

I managed to trigger the collection feature quite a few times, and this gave me some decent wins. Towards the end, I hadn’t been lucky enough to play the free spins round, so I paid for an instant trigger of it. What I like about special features is that there are two options - one is a free spins round with a multiplier that increases as wilds appear; the other is a respin round with the collection feature triggering on every spin. It’s up to you which you play; I always like it when a slot gives players a choice. 

I paid for both the free spins round and the respin feature. Neither of them made me a profit, but both of them came close. Even though I lost money from them, I still thoroughly enjoyed playing them. They’re both a lot of fun and should add a lot of excitement to the gameplay, especially if they trigger on their own.

All in all, I very much liked playing Gold Strike. It ticked plenty of boxes, and the only major negative point I can make is that the special features didn’t trigger on their own. I’m glad there’s the option to purchase them, though remember you won’t always make your money back.
