Relive Napoleon’s ambitious journey from being a simple Artillery commander to the emperor of France in Blueprint Gaming’s Napoleon Rise of An Empire. The slot has simple mechanics, up to 16x wild multipliers, and a max win of 10,000x your bet! 

As a history buff myself, I was immediately impressed by the game’s portrayal of the French Hussars in the background of the slot and the gunpowder smoke clouding the battlefield. The gold studded grid has 5 reels and 3 rows with medium volatility and 20 paylines. 

That said, this is where my first issue with the game becomes clear, with just 5 paylines in place it was rather difficult for me to make consistent wins in the base game. Sure, I was getting between 1x to 5x returns but they came every 3 to 8 spins. There were even times when over 10 spins would go by without any symbol combos. 

Although this puts a damper on the game’s overall profitability, the developers have added in wilds with multipliers that are abundant on the reels. The more wilds you have, the higher the multiplier gets up to 16x your bet for 4 wilds landed. Using this, I managed to win a few big wins in the range of 14x to 17x my bet. 

Coming to the biggest moneymaker in the game, free spins can be triggered by landing bonus scatter symbols. 3 of them award 10 free spins with the Napoleon Streak active which holds winning combinations in place during the spins and keeps going until no more land on the reels. 

These two features combined can drastically change the wins in the free spins round from a decent average of 30x to a much higher amount. I managed to get up to 75x returns by triggering the feature and it helped me make a handy profit in the game. 

Ultimately, the Napoleon Rise of An Empire slot game by Blueprint Gaming might not have the best base game but the feature wins are as action-packed as the Battle of Austerlitz, Borodino, or Waterloo. I’d recommend giving it a try if you are a fan of the theme but other than that, you sadly don’t get much else here.
