Alright, so I just spent some time spinning the reels on Gold Inferno, and here's the scoop. First off, this game is pretty straightforward. You've got your standard setup with one, three, five, or nine paylines to potentially win on.
Now, hitting those wins isn't too hard. I found myself landing some decent combos with just three matching symbols, and let me tell you, those Golden Inferno 3x symbols are where the real cash is at. Get three of those bad boys, and you're looking at a sweet payout of 10,000 coins. Yeah, you heard that right.
I for one didn’t manage to come even close to that, but it was comforting to know that I had a chance at a life altering win. But the real excitement comes from the Wild symbol, and it comes even better when Multipliers come to play. That's when the real magic happens.
I got my wins to double or even triple, and when I managed to line up more than one Wild Multiplier, they all stacked up and boosted my winnings. I had a few rounds where I hit some nice combos with those Wilds, and boy, did the coins start piling up.
But here's the thing that kinda bugged me. There's no Bonus Round or Free Spins. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a good Bonus Round? It would've been the cherry on top of an already tasty slot experience. Don't get me wrong, I still had a blast spinning those reels and raking in some sweet wins, but a bonus round would've taken it to the next level.

AGS’ electrifying new entry by the name of Platinum 8X8X8X has many slot gaming fans stumped. With all the hype going around, come check out the slot with me, and let’s see if the 3 different wilds, 4 tier jackpots, and multiplier symbols really make it a good game to play.
Set within a thunderous sky, this slot has a classic 3-reel layout with line bets which can give you access to all 9 paylines. My first few spins were incredibly profitable getting me a 15x win on the first spin and a 7x spin on the second one. That said, not every spin was this profitable and most wins came between 0.55x to 3x my bet.
Depending on the number of paylines, you can easily make quick but small wins in the game or hold out hope for a giant one with a high bet per line. I would advise against the latter and suggest going in guns blazing with all 9 lines active and the bet per line adjusted accordingly to conserve your bankroll.
Multiplier symbols are the key to success here and I was quite happy to see 8x multipliers raining down with symbols frequently. This is extremely important because the BAR symbols here have considerably lower symbol payouts than similar titles and you’d be making most wins through these BARs.
During my session, getting a multiplier symbol to be part of a win meant winning up to 12x my bet which kept my bankroll looking nice and shiny. Waiting for a jackpot didn’t take much time either as wilds are very common on the reels and landing any 3 wilds can trigger the minor 25x jackpot. I was able to do it within 50 spins and walk away with a small profit in the game.
In short, what the Platinum 8X8X8X slot game lacks in theme and features, it makes up for with a no-nonsense winning potential. Although I had varied luck during the base game, the jackpot trigger became the highlight of my playthrough which is why I’d recommend giving the demo available above a try!
