Outlaw Trails –Duels, Multipliers, and Wild West Action

3.5 out of 5
Funky Games takes the Wild West theme and gives it a proper gunslinger treatment with Outlaw Trails. It’s a five-reel slot with 15 paylines, bets running from 0.45 to 288, and a max win reaching up to 20,000x your bet. The setup is simple, but the features and multipliers bring the real weight.
For me, the presentation is spot on. The reels are set against a frontier setting. You’ve got whiskey bottles, money bags, hats, skulls, and revolvers making up the premiums, while the sheriff’s badge steps in as the wild.
The highlight, though, is the VS symbol. Whenever it expands, two outlaws face off in a duel, each carrying a multiplier.
The survivor leaves their value behind, turning the reel wild. If more than one VS symbol lands, the multipliers stack, and that can push a regular round into something a lot more exciting.
As for the playtable, Wilds top out at 30x for five, revolvers hit 18x, while money bags and whiskey bottles reach 9x your wager. Lower symbols don’t do much honestly, but the features easily make up for it.
Duel at Dawn comes from three scatters and gives 10 free spins with extra VS symbols. The Great Train Robbery is another bonus, this time with sticky wilds, and both can be bought outright: Duel at 50x and Train Robbery at 100x.
There’s also an Extra Mode that bumps VS multipliers up to a huge 200x, adding another layer of risk and reward.
In my own run, most base game wins landed in the medium range, dropping about every seven or eight spins with multipliers between 2x and 10x that kept things moving. Eventually, three scatters triggered Duel at Dawn, the feature I’d been waiting for, and the round finished at around 2.4x.
It wasn’t a huge payout, but combined with the steady wins, my balance circled close to where I started, and that’s the kind of rhythm I enjoy because it takes the pressure off and lets you relax while waiting for the bigger moments.
PROS - Immersive design
- Frequent medium wins
- Bonus buy options
CONS - Big hits rely completely on features
7 Up Down
tried different stakes from 0.2 to 1 and results were mixed. random multiplier can help but dont expect miracles. best hit was x18, still not enough to cover losses. ok game for chill sessions, nothing special.
Gems of Zeus
Finally landed a 2x with Extra Mode on and it gave me 19.20 on an 8 stake. Not nothing, but still underwhelming. Most spins feel dead, and when something does land, it's barely worth it. The game looks good but it plays cold.
7 Up Down
played this for a while with small bets around 0.5. rtp feels fair but nothing crazy. had a short win with a x12 multiplier, ended session slightly down. dice idea is nice but gameplay gets repetitive after some time.
Chicken Love
I appreciate that this game doesn’t overload you with features. With a 98% RTP and adjustable difficulty, it feels like I have some say in how risky I want to be. Hardcore mode is brutal, though. I usually stick to Medium.
Speed Football
The fast-paced format is good if you like placing a few bets during a break, but don’t expect high returns unless you stack 6+ legs. Missing one pick ruins both the bet and the bonus. Needs more reward for risk.
Clover Brew
Clover Brew looks great and the features are actually useful. Took a bit to get into the free spins, but once I did, it paid 460 on a mid bet. The sticky multipliers really stacked up. Worth the wait if you’re into that high-risk, high-reward style.
