Mexican Ways: Walk Spicy Streets for Jackpots Up to 1,000x Your Bet

Zillion invites us to walk the six-reel, four-row grid filled with sombreros, guitars, maracas, and a stunning señorita. When making Mexican Ways, the team behind the project probably thought the visuals weren't spicy enough, so we have a bunch of special symbols, two bonus games, and Jackpot wins up to 1,000x the bet.
If you manage to “tame” special symbols, you're right where you want to be. The wild substitutes for everything except the scatter, and there’s an additional random feature that can drop two or more wilds onto the reels at once.
Scatters trigger the free spins, while bonus symbols open the Hold and Ring, the second bonus game on offer. There’s also a boost, which can land alongside any bonus symbols on the grid, and it sums their values to pay the total. All four affect both the base game and the bonus rounds.
My base game on its own felt thin. The hits ranged from 1x to 9x my bet, but most of the bigger ones leaned heavily on the random wilds. Señorita, the highest-paying symbol, pays only 5.5x for a six-of-a-kind.
After a longer dry stretch, I bought the free spins for 100x my bet. The natural trigger needs 3 or more scatters, with 3 giving you 8 spins and 6 climbing all the way up to 50. Inside, the random walking wild kicks in, wilds appear, disappear, and shift to different cells between spins. The boost wasn't very active in this round, but with the help of frequent wild appearances, it closed at around 398x my bet total.
Another long stretch later, my balance took the zero ground, so I wanted to try the Hold and Ring, also for 100x the bet. It triggers with 6 bonus symbols on the reels, or 5 bonus symbols with a boost. The round ended with the sum of all bonus symbol values collected, totaling 120x my bet.
Overall, this slot has a lot going on behind the Mexican-themed curtains, and I sure enjoyed most of it. On the other hand, without the buy option, my session would tell a completely different story. For now, I think you should try the demo version here on SlotsMate.
PROS - Jackpots up to x1,000
- Two bonus games
- Random walking wilds

Leprechauns Secret
The evolving reel structure and Hold and Win mechanic are interesting. Payout potential is there with multipliers, but high volatility makes it a grind. Average math model overall.
Easter Bunny Treasures
Had a pretty entertaining session with this one. The momentum stayed steady and the bright colors made for a great atmosphere. Perfect if you want something simple and festive to play.
Leprechauns Secret
The vibe is okay, but this session was tough. Even with a random wild, I only got back half my bet. It’s hard to stay entertained when the momentum just isn't there.
Mexican Ways
The cosmic synthwave vibe is entertaining, but my session really lacked momentum. It's cool how you can adjust the settings, but waiting for those six middle coins is a bit of a grind.
Easter Bunny Treasures
Really liked how the mechanics flow. Hits come often enough to keep it interesting, and the payout structure seems balanced. Great for a direct session without too much filler.
Mexican Ways
Payouts feel consistent here. Just grabbed a $40 win on a $20 bet. The mechanics are smooth and the jackpots keep things interesting. Definitely worth some spins.
