Gold Strike Express: A Good-Looking Slot with Respins That Are Hard to Trigger

When Gold Strike Express loaded, I was impressed with the slot’s appearance. It’s set in a large, expansive gold mine and has a train track directly above the grid. Every spin, a new set of carts appears on the track, with each cart offering a cash prize or nothing.

During my playthrough of Gold Strike Express, the collect symbol landed a few times. Whenever it appeared, it paid whatever cash prize was in the cart directly above the same reel, if there was one. 

My biggest payout from this was 25x, which was the Minor jackpot. I also won 15x, 6x, 5x, and 2x from the feature, so it worked out quite well for me. The rest of my payouts were less than my bet or just a few times greater than it.

I wanted to play the respin feature, but it never triggered for me. There was the option to increase my bet by 50% for a higher chance of the feature coming into play. I went for this for at least a few dozen spins, but it didn’t work.

It’s safe to say that I was disappointed by the lack of a respin trigger, especially since I spent extra money trying to get it to launch. There were a few spins where I nearly got enough symbols, but just one or two were missing.

I thought Gold Strike Express was a well-designed mining slot. If you’re thinking about playing the slot, I would recommend giving it a go, just bear in mind that the respin round is hard to trigger, even if you pay extra. It might be best to wait and see if it launches on its own.
