Squid Game Red Light Green Light: An Excellent Example of a Branded Slot

For me, Squid Game Red Light Green Light ticked all the boxes. It looked appealing, it was very well themed, it had some exciting features, and I ended up making a profit from it. Also, I thought it was a brilliant branded slot.

As a Squid Game fan, I very much liked the way Light & Wonder incorporated the Red Light Green Light game into the slot’s gameplay. Characters from the show appeared as symbols, there were sound clips, and the overall design was impressive.

The Red Light Green Light cash prize collection feature came into play many times during my playthrough. Sometimes bonus symbols would be collected and would trigger special effects such as a jackpot prize being awarded.

My payouts from this feature were 23x, 20x, 12x, 9x, 8x, and 7x. It also launched multiple times in the free spins round, which I got to play towards the end of my gaming session. I ended up winning 55x my bet in total from it.

Most of this large free spins payout came from Red Light Green Light triggers. I was pleased that I got to experience the slot’s two main features and that the respin round came into play as many times as it did.

By the time I finished playing Squid Game Red Light Green Light, I was in profit by around 50x, which I wasn’t expecting at all. I was delighted with my win and glad I got to see the slot’s features in action.

Lion Link Prosperous Rooster: Decent Respins, Poor Base Game

Lion Link Prosperous Rooster is a decent enough slot with an Asian riches theme, and a respin feature is its highlight. The design is pretty good overall, and the gameplay experience was enjoyable, though it could have been better.

I was lucky enough to play the respin round twice during my playthrough. The first time I played it, I’d managed to land the required number of white orb symbols. The round itself worked in a straightforward way.

The triggering symbols stayed where they were, and I got three respins. Whenever at least one new orb landed, the number of respins would be reset to three. Quite a few extra orbs appeared, and by the end of the round, I’d won a respectable 30x my bet.

When I played the round the second time, I didn’t actually land enough orbs. What happened was that only a few of them appeared, but the slot then randomly added more orbs so I could play the feature.

This time, I was luckier, winning no less than 42x my bet from the respins. I was very pleased with the payout and was surprised I’d won more than the previous time I played respins. Despite these wins, I ended my playthrough of Lion Link Prosperous Rooster with a loss.

It wasn’t a massive one, but I still failed to make a profit. This was largely because in the base game, I never won above 2x my bet. It wasn’t as if there was a small number of paylines since there were 40 of them.

I enjoyed playing the slot, but it was disappointing that the base game didn’t produce any big wins. If I hadn’t been lucky to win so much from respins, my overall loss would have been much greater.

Bigger the Loot Majestic Bounty: Crack the Eggs, Wake the Hatchlings, and Hoard a 5,000x Reward

When you head into the enchanted oasis of Bigger the Loot Majestic Bounty by Light and Wonder, don't forget your grimoires, swords, potions, and crowns. 

Without them, you're face-to-face with a red dragon and her three hatchlings. Each one shapes the Hold & Spin differently, while gold coins with values up to 10x can drop, and dragon eggs are there to collect. There’s a pile of gold below our mother dragon, and legend says it holds rewards up to 5,000x rewards.

My base game didn't get me much closer to that goal. Winning combos came every five to twelve spins, mostly in the 0.4x to 1.2x range. 

The interesting mechanic here is Mystery Stacked Reels. Mystery Symbols turn into one paying symbol before pay evaluation, which can stack a single reel into crowns or swords for a heavier hit. Alongside those, a Scatter Gold Coin can land on any reel and trigger the Instant Win Feature, where the dragon adds extra coins, and Black Eggs collect them.

Luckily, the bonus part looked more promising. Around the 50th spin, I cracked the first egg. The way it works, those three eggs above the reels keep filling up with coloured Mystery Coins from the base game, and once you've got enough of any combination, the Hold & Spin starts. I cracked open the green one, which wakes the hatchling and stretches the grid from three to six rows tall.

The round starts with three spins and three fixed gold coins on the grid, and every new coin resets spins to three. Mid-round, the blue egg also activated, which adds extra blue coins worth 0.5x to 20x your bet and resets spins again. The round closed at 27.3x my bet.

I really hoped another round would trigger, because the smaller wins after that came back and forth, not often either. But that never happened, and my balance signalled it was time to wrap up.

Overall, the theme is my cup of tea, and the slot is as equipped as I'd like. The catch is the worst parts are also the most important, base game first. Still, the appeal earned at least one more session from me.
