The game’s reels are set up in a unique stair-step layout. It starts with 5 reels and 4 rows, but the rows increase to 8 symbols on the last reel. With 4,608 paylines using the anyways mechanic, I was pretty excited at first, thinking I’d be racking up quick wins. However, I would soon learn that the symbol pays in the game are lower than average. 

Most of my wins ranged between 0.20x to 0.80x my bet, and even those took around 5 to 6 spins to hit at times. The low win rate is mainly due to the cash falls feature, where cash symbols drop down and become sticky for three spins. While it sounds great in theory, the sheer quantity of these symbols made it tough to form winning combinations. 

These cash symbols only award the cash fall feature when an entire reel is covered by them. I was able to trigger these payouts a fair few times throughout my session and they mostly got me wins between 3.50x to 8.50x my bet. Despite these bigger wins coming occasionally, I was rapidly losing my bankroll so I decided to turn on the quick spins setting to get to the bonus game. 

Triggering the free spins feature took some patience since landing 3 bonus symbols wasn’t easy. But once I made it in, I got 10 spins where cash symbols stayed sticky for the entire round. Surprisingly, I didn’t get any wins from regular symbols. Every win came from the sticky cash symbols, with a few hitting up to 7.5x my bet. In the end, I walked away with a 46.50x win, which was a nice surprise.

Even so, I didn’t really enjoy my time with Cash Falls Pirates Trove. The game feels outdated, with features that don’t add much excitement to the overall experience. The bonus is tough to trigger, and the base game payouts don’t make up for it. I wouldn’t recommend playing this one for real money, but some players might still find the free demo worth a try.
