Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Catch Gold Spins is one of many instalments in Blueprint Gaming’s Fishin’ Frenzy series. Like the others, it’s a fishing-themed slot with a host of features, including a fisherman wild that collects and pays the values on all fish symbols.

There are quite a few features, though I didn’t get to experience all of them during my playthrough. The only one I did get to play was the free spins round, where I won 36x my bet thanks to the fisherman wild collecting fish symbol prizes.

I didn’t trigger the round by landing three scatters. Instead, the Catch of the Day feature came into play on a random spin. This could have awarded me any of five features, including a guaranteed win and respins. It was the free spins round that I was awarded.

Unfortunately, Catch of the Day only triggered once, so I didn’t get to see what else it had in store. It would have been great to earn respins or get a guaranteed win. Going back to free spins, it gave me the chance to earn gold spins.

To do this, I needed to land gold spins symbols and the fisherman wild. This never happened, so I didn’t get to play gold spins. These only had fishermen and fish symbols, and guaranteed at least one of each on every spin. 

I liked the slot and thought it had enough features to make it worthwhile. It was a shame that I didn’t get to see as many of them in action as I would have liked.  If you’re a fan of the Fishin’ Frenzy series or fishing slots in general, you should enjoy playing this one.
