The Goonies Quest for Treasure 3: Hunt One-Eyed Willy's Buried Treasure For up to 10,000x Wins

Blueprint Gaming drags the Goonies gang back into One-Eyed Willy's caves for another treasure hunt. This time packing the reels with collect symbols, cash prizes, treasure chests, mystery symbols, and enough progression systems to make it look far more exciting than it actually felt during my session.

The game uses a 6x4 grid with 4,096 ways to win, and symbol values range from 0.40x to 5x your bet. Despite the decent-looking paytable, my experience quickly settled into a predictable pattern. Most wins came either from low-paying symbols worth around 0.40x my stake or from the pirate flag symbol, which regularly paid around 4x. The bigger issue was how long it took to get there, with wins often arriving only after five to twelve dead spins.

Wild symbols exist, but you'd be forgiven for thinking they were a myth. I only saw them three times during roughly an hour of play. Cash and Collect symbols were significantly more common and occasionally combined for payouts between 3x and 8x my bet. Unfortunately, those moments were too infrequent to compensate for the amount of downtime between them.

Around fifteen minutes into the session, I unlocked the Treasure Wheel progression feature. It's a nice idea on paper, gradually adding extra mechanics as more Collect symbols are gathered, but the actual payouts felt underwhelming. Despite triggering it multiple times, I never managed to push the wheel beyond roughly 15x returns.

The main attraction is the Treasure Spins bonus, triggered by landing three or more Treasure Chest symbols. The feature awards 10 free spins, while Collect symbols gathered during the round unlock extra spins and increase the collection multiplier to up to 10x. Landing six Treasure Chest symbols also awards an immediate 500x cash prize before the bonus even begins.

Unfortunately, my own bonus round never came close to delivering those headline numbers. The Collect mechanics worked as advertised, gathering cash prizes between 0.30x and 5x my bet and adding a few extra spins along the way, but the values simply weren't large enough to matter. By the end of the feature, I wasn't able to push returns beyond 30x my bet.

The Goonies Quest for Treasure 3 feels like a slot that spends more time unlocking features than actually paying for them. There's a lot happening on the screen, plenty of progression systems, and enough collect symbols to make you feel the progression, but I’d suggest lowering your stake for the first 30 minutes until you’ve unlocked the features.
