Nothing extraordinary, but the potential of up to 40 free spins and sticky wilds was enough to keep me marching through more than 250 spins.

This battlefield stretches across 50 paylines, where landing three or more matching symbols on a payline awards a payout. Warriors, spears, shields, and everything associated with ancient warfare fill the reels, while the mighty war elephant serves as the wild, which becomes sticky during the bonus round.

Before I got to witness that rewarding side of the wild, I was landing wins every 5 to 6 spins, with average returns between 2.80x and 3.60x my bet in the base game. I also stumbled across a few stronger hits of 9x and 10x my bet.

Not too much, but just enough to keep my bankroll afloat while I waited for the bonus feature. Landing 2, 3, or 4 scatters on the third reel can award up to 40 free spins. After nearly 100 spins, however, I only managed to land two Scatters, with the Fortune Wheel granting me just 10 free spins.

With sticky wilds in play, I expected nothing less than a hefty payout. Alas, the bonus round rewarded me with only 10x my bet, and without any retriggers or respin mechanics, it ended almost as quickly as it began. I couldn't have been more surprised, especially considering there isn't a bonus buy option available either.

So, for me, Invincible Elephant wasn't all glory and triumph. It certainly had its fair share of shortcomings. The addition of an Ante Bet or Gamble Feature could have given the base game the extra spark I was looking for, especially with such a limited maximum win potential.
