Santa's Workshop Mines: Find the Teddy Bears and Cash Out!

So I took a spin on IGT's Santa's Workshop Mines game, and it was a bit underwhelming. Maybe I was just not feeling festive enough despite the 200x max win in store for me. 

First of all, the visuals felt a bit outdated, with the generic Christmassy graphics not being my favourite. However, the gameplay felt smooth and qualitative, in terms of animations, but I would have preferred a refurbished aesthetic to the overall visuals.

With a 5x5 design and 25 squares, this game is pretty bare bones even for a minesweeper-style title, with the only multipliers being in the form of teddy bears or jester mines. You can choose between 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, or 15 mines to be present on the paytable. It's a basic concept: more mines, more multipliers, bigger cash outs, and higher volatility. 

In terms of pros, the game feels qualitative, speaking of gameplay, with satisfying results for smaller bets and fewer mines during my playthrough, nothing overwhelming, and very simple. But, where there are pros, there are cons. The graphics didn't do it for me, as it felt like I was playing any other Christmas-themed game. 

This game did not feel unique, graphics-wise. As mentioned before, they felt basic. Talking about features, a lot of vacancy - nothing new or impressive, compared to other titles that offer interesting bonus rounds, for example. 

Overall, Santa's Workshop Mines felt like a toy I used to play with for about a week, then forgot it on the shelf. I recommend it, though, if you want to give it a few spins and aim for the multipliers. However, I would recommend trying it in demo mode first, as it has a 94% below-average RTP.
