Although these scatters drop frequently after turning on the bet, I didn’t notice much of a difference in terms of wins or feature drops. I won’t recommend switching it on and shrinking your bankroll quicker. 

The highest win I had during my session in the base game was 13x my bet thanks to two wild symbols. Fortunately, wilds are super common in the game so getting bigger symbol combinations is possible early on. 

With that said, let’s move on to the free spins bonus wheel because that’s where the real money is. Landing 3 or more scatters gets you spins at the bonus wheel which features free spins and jackpots. You can win between 8 to 15 free spins or 50x to 1,000x jackpots using this wheel. 

During the free spins, wilds carry 2x or 3x multipliers and the highest paying Golden Buffalo symbol drops more frequently and even as stacks of 4. On average, I won between 10 to 12 free spins with the payouts varying between a measly 8.5x the bet to a hefty 90.50x my bet. 

You also get a standard bonus buy feature to skip the base game but it costs 100x your bet. After thoroughly testing the feature, I wouldn’t recommend using it as more often than not you won’t be able to make a profit on the 100x bet. 

iSoftBet’s Golden Buffalo Double Up has the looks and the features to make it a solid entry worth trying out. It can be profitable for the most part but the base game suffers a bit in terms of action and keeps feeling repetitive with small wins. Other than that, it is a decent slot title worth checking out for free above, in my opinion.
