Single reel slot games have been on the decline for quite some time now but Pragmatic Play is bringing it back from the ways of the Dodo with Master Joker. The game has a single reel with 5 symbols, up to 100x multipliers, and a fresh new coat of paint to make it more palatable for modern slot gaming enthusiasts. 

The game has bright colors, beautifully designed graphics, and a joker lady waiting to spin a multiplier wheel just above the reels which contain up to 100x multipliers. My playthrough lasted about an hour during which I had mixed feelings about the wins. 

My first 20 spins went by with minimal wins ranging from 1x my bet to 4x my bet every 4 to 9 spins. Although the game has symbol pays going up to 100x your bet, the higher paying symbols are exceedingly hard to trigger. 

Landing wilds is key to getting bigger payouts as when a wild symbol is part of a winning combination, the multiplier wheel feature is triggered and you get a bonus multiplier on top of your win. I only managed to land the symbol three times as it was exceptionally rare on the reels.

The highest win I got was 40x my bet thanks to a lucky 5x multiplier which was quite impressive but didn’t manage to offset my losses in the game. I would only recommend playing the Master Joker slot game for free and not wagering real money in this entry by Pragmatic Play. Although it has the potential for exceptional wins, it is far too risky for my tastes.
