I tried the different setups to uncover the most effective strategy during my recent session in this slot. Here’s how it went.

The game starts with a default setting of 3 mines, which I found relatively safe. Unlocking a safe tile only pays 1.06x my stake, but it didn’t look worthy enough to cash out. After experimenting between unlocking 1 to 7 tiles per round, I settled on picking just 3.

Each successful round of picking 3 tiles at the default setting earned me payouts of 1.39x my stake. Though the prizes seemed small, I was successful more than 75% of the time. This helped to keep my balance afloat and even earned me a small profit.

I also tried lowering the risk by setting the mine count to 1 and was able to unlock 5 to 7 safe boxes most times. However, the average payout was slightly lower at 1.21x my stake. It was certainly going to take more time to gather any reasonable profits in-game.

When I increased the number of mines to between 7 and 10, my payouts ranged from 1.29x to 1.55x the stake for the first safe tile. However, it was difficult to uncover more than one safe tile in a round. Worse still, about half of my rounds resulted in losses from the first pick. The losses were draining my bankroll more rapidly than the wins boosted it.

With the number of mines set at 24, I only won once in over 50 rounds, earning the maximum payout of 22x stake. The high-risk approach was certainly not worth it.

In my opinion, Deep Sea Destruction is not a game you can rake in massive profits. Yet, if you’re patient enough to play at lower risk levels, you can enjoy steady tiny wins and gather a decent profit after a long session. It also offers beautiful visuals and an upbeat soundtrack to keep things lively during your session. Feel free to test your luck in the risky waters but be cautious how deep you dive.
