Big Thunder MegaLoot: Swing Through the Jungle For Three Different Bonus Rounds

Deep in the jungle, Ainsworth has found a playful gorilla to guard Big Thunder MegaLoot. With a 2,000x max win, reel wilds, and three different bonus features, this gorilla had me chasing after him for more than two hours. And here's how my jungle safari went!

The game features a five-reel, three-row grid with 50 fixed paylines. You'll need to land three or more identical symbols on adjacent reels to secure a win. The RTP is set at 96.14%, with medium volatility, which makes for a good combination for a long session.

In the base game, I was landing wins every three to five spins, with average returns between 0.70x and 1.30x my bet. Thanks to the reel wilds, I managed to land a few better wins worth 4x, 5x, and 7x my bet. However, I never saw a single base-game win go beyond 8x my stake.

Three different banana scatters trigger separate bonus features, each offering its own way to collect rewards. I liked watching the ape jump over the grid, grab bananas, and drop them into their designated baskets to activate bonus rounds.

Green bananas trigger Premium Pay Loot, where the gorilla collects them and places them into its designated basket. Yellow bananas activate Bonus Loot, where you'll have the chance to unlock five jackpot prizes: mini, minor, maxi, major, and grand. Red bananas trigger Cash Loot, where you receive instant cash prizes based on multipliers of your bet per line.

In my case, I triggered the red bananas the most, giving me returns like 18x, 24x, and 32x my bet. Although they appeared quite often within roughly 50 spins, the returns weren't anywhere close to what I expected from a bonus round.

You can also trigger combined bonus games by landing different banana scatters together. These combinations activate two features simultaneously, while landing all three colors brings Premium Pay Loot, Bonus Loot, and Cash Loot into one round. However, getting all three together is very unlikely.

Big Thunder MegaLoot has a playful jungle setting, and I particularly enjoyed the gorilla's animations when collecting bananas. But reward-wise, there are many better options available on the market. Our team has put together some of them for you to check out below.
