Double Double Bonus Poker: Where Aces Rule the Table
Matija Antic rated this game:
3.5 out of 5
Arrows Edge’s Double Double Bonus Poker takes the well-known Jacks or Better model and builds on it with higher payouts for premium hands. You’re not playing against opponents here, only the CPU, and the focus shifts to Four of a Kind.
Landing Four Aces with max coins pays up to 800x stake, while a Royal Flush stretches all the way to 4,000x your bet.
As for the layout, it’s just clean cards on a purple table, nothing flashy. What really hit me, though, was the silence. There’s no theme music at all, and that leaves the game feeling empty.
On top of your screen, you’ll see a progressive jackpot that can trigger at random, even on a losing round. This card game opens with a simple five-card deal, but the multi-hand option can quickly raise the stakes.
That said, you can spread your round across 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 hands, and every decision to hold or discard applies to all of them. It’s a clever twist: one strong draw can ripple into dozens of wins, while a weak one eats your bankroll across every hand.
Four Aces deliver huge returns, other quads like 2s, 3s, and 4s pay less, and smaller combos cover only a fraction of the stake. Add to that flexible bets from one to five coins per hand, and a gamble option that can double winnings up to 100×, and you see why this game simply demands sharper decisions.
I even tried pushing it up to 100 hands, and that delivered a mix of pairs and one solid Full House, but also a run of dead rounds that showed how brutal it can be.
Wins can be pressed further with the Double Up gamble. After any payout, you face four face-down cards against the dealer’s upcard. Pick higher, and your prize doubles; pick wrong, and it’s gone.
Honestly, I almost always give it a try, though it’s all about timing, and I don’t recommend moves that are not carefully calculated. My peak came when I hit a Straight Flush worth 250x and doubled it to 500x my bet.
Although I was a second away from trying my luck further, I stopped there because common sense got the better of me, and that play was certainly the best one I’ve had in a long time.
Double Double Bonus Poker is a complex release, which layers an aggressive paytable, multi-hand play, a jackpot, and a gamble feature into one package. For players who enjoy strategy and swings, it’s probably one of the best games I've stumbled upon. However, for casual play, the pace and silence may feel heavy.
PROS
Multi-hand mode up to 100 hands
My biggest win so far
Random progressive jackpot
CONS
No soundtrack to build atmosphere
High complexity can overwhelm newcomers

drained my balance faster than i expected
not a bad poker game but running 100 hands drained my balance faster than i expected, got plenty of small pairs and one full house but long dry runs happen too often for me even with the big win potential

one good hold can turn into several wins at once
i liked the multi hand option because one good hold can turn into several wins at once, ended one session up around 100 after hitting 3 aces, but the quiet table made it feel a bit empty compared to other poker games, my biggest win was a 15x thanks to the double up
