Goldhorn Wild Herd seemed like it was going to be an enjoyable slot. After all, it has 4,086 ways to win on its 6x4 grid and a free spins round where wilds come with a multiplier worth 2x, 3x, or 5x.

However, my experience playing the slot was nowhere near as good as I was hoping it would be. For starters, I didn’t land any big wins in the base game, despite the slot having over 4,000 ways to win. 

I did win a few times, but most of my payouts were on the smaller side. The biggest ones were just 9x and 7x. I hoped that with a large number of paylines, I’d earn even just a small number of bigger payouts.

Then there was the free spins round. I bought this for the cost of 100x my bet and ended up winning less than 2x. I thought the multiplier wilds would help me earn a decent amount of money and possibly even make a profit. However, I lost nearly all the money I’d spent.

I couldn’t believe that with 10 spins, 4,096 ways to win, and multiplier wilds, I failed to win as much as 2x my bet. I was very disappointed with the round and briefly considered trying again, but decided against this, not wanting to take the risk.

It’s safe to say that if you decide to play the slot, think carefully about buying free spins. It’s always a risk, but as my experience shows, paying for the free spins round can be a very costly mistake to make. I’d still suggest playing the slot, just don’t expect a lot.
