Valhalla: A Slot Where You Decide How to Play

Valhalla from Bet Digital is an interesting slot that does things differently. Slots can be very similar, and I like coming across one that tries to stand out from the rest in some way.
What sets Valhalla apart is that it has six bet levels. Each one costs more than the last and unlocks more bonuses. If you’re at the lowest level, wilds can appear. Switch to the highest option, and you’ll get wilds that expand, four respins, and a multiplier that can reach as high as 4x.
For my turn playing Valhalla, I decided to stick with the lowest bet level to see what the base game is like. I managed to get some wins, including a rather big one, which was welcome. Wilds appeared regularly, but nothing else was going on.
While the idea of bet levels is good, it does mean that the lowest level is, frankly speaking, quite boring. All of the slot’s features are tied into the bet level system. It would be ideal if there were some other features - a free spins round, for example - that wasn’t part of this and could trigger at any level.
My biggest win came from respins with the highest Valhalla Spins bet active. When you pay for the top option, there’s a multiplier that increases whenever a respin produces a win. I managed to get the multiplier up to 3x during the respins, thanks to some wins.
Before playing Valhalla, I would recommend trying the slot for free. Try the different bet levels without risking your money and see which you prefer. So that you don’t end up spending too much money, it’s probably a good idea to stick with a lower level for most of your spins. Switch to a more expensive level every once in a while and see if you’re lucky enough to win from it.
PROS - High-quality graphics
- Various bet options with different features
CONS - Have to pay extra for features to trigger
- The base game is quite boring
- The background image could be better
