Cave of Gems Dice Slot Review: A Nitro-Fueled Slot Worth Exploring

A goggle-wearing goblin guards a cave full of colourful gems in Cave of Gems Dice by BF Games, and he's surprisingly generous once you figure out his Nitro system.

The game kicks off on 5 reels and 3 rows, featuring 30 fixed lines, with a 96.08% RTP, medium volatility, and a top payout capped at 750x. Above the reels, a four-level jackpot ladder displays Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand prizes.

Each reel has a Nitro counter above it, and landing Nitro potion symbols fills these counters up to 3. Once a counter maxes out, that entire reel transforms into a Persistent Wild for the next 3 spins. Trigger another Persistent Wild on a different reel, and all active countdowns reset to 3 again. Get all 5 reels of Wild simultaneously? That's an instant 200x your bet.

Before the Free Games chaos began, my base game returned wins between 0.4x and 2.2x my bet, mostly from gem combinations, while the Nitro counters slowly climbed. Nothing remarkable, but the anticipation of watching those counters fill kept every spin interesting.

So why do I already sound like something big happened? Well, it did.

Second spin of my session, boom, five Treasure Chest Scatters appeared and awarded 20 Free Games. Now that's what I call a find. The fifth spin added 5 more, and the fifteenth spin threw in another 10. I could do this all night.

During Free Games, a Grand Nitro Meter tracks every Nitro symbol that lands. In case you hit 15 on that meter, you pocket 500x your bet instantly. There's also an Explode Feature that randomly triggers when the meter reaches at least 3, scattering Bomb Wilds across the grid equal to the meter value.

Between the Persistent Wilds stacking across multiple reels, the retriggering Scatters refusing to stop, and the Explode Feature dropping Bomb Wilds at random moments, my 50 Free Games delivered 191.7x my bet by the time the goblin finally let me leave his cave.

Jokes aside, for a slot with this much happening beneath the surface, Cave of Gems Dice never feels overwhelming, just rewarding.

i tried cave of gems dice on a small $40 balance and it felt pretty steady, got a few small hits around x2 to x5 but nothing big. free spins came once after a while but only turned it into like $58 total. decent but nothing special in the end
