With jackpots going up to 5,000x and multiple bonus paths in play, I went into this Jurassic world to see if it actually brings something new or just throws around the same fossils we’ve already seen.

This is a five-reel, three-row slot with 20 paylines, set in a prehistoric jungle on a secluded island with volcanoes ready to erupt at any moment. The RTP sits at 96.57% with medium volatility, which sounds balanced on paper, but it played more on the higher side during my testing.

In the base game, I was landing a win every 5 to 6 spins, with average returns between 0.80x and 1x my bet. That said, I also saw occasional bumps like 3x to 4x returns, but most of them stayed small and could not recover the losses from previous spins. The wilds help a bit, especially with their direct payouts, but they could not carry my whole session on their own.

After 200+ spins, one thing became clear to me. The rewarding potential is built around the bonus features. The game revolves around three rocket symbols, each tied to a different bonus. These rockets are revealed through mystery symbols, and once collected, they trigger their respective bonus rounds.

The Bonus Spins expand mystery symbols across the reels, the Hold and Win focuses on collecting values, and the Jackpot Spins bring the bigger potential with fixed prizes. If everything aligns, you can trigger more than one feature at once, which I never managed to do.

It took me around 100 spins or more to reach a bonus. After the Hold and Win round with 12 free spins, I came out with a 42x return. This tropical island did not quite live up to my expectations. There is also a feature buy option if you do not want to wait. You can go for 100x to get a random bonus setup, or 200x to trigger all three at once.

So while Rocket Eruption Triple Blast looks nice and cozy, it does not bring anything particularly new. In fact, it falls short in terms of payouts. In my opinion, with such low symbol values, a cascading or cluster system might have worked better, as traditional paylines do not fully unlock this BGaming title’s potential.
