Walking through the streets of Crazy Chilli 2 by Blueprint Gaming means facing wild hot peppers and tequila bottles with modifiers. We need both the wild chilies to progress through the base game and unlock modifiers, and the tequila bottles to collect cash prizes and up to 1,000x jackpots. Here’s what my session through this fiesta looked like. 

The game runs on a 5x3 grid with 10 paylines, and symbols pay between 0.50x and 100x your bet. Base game wins arrived every 2 to 5 spins, usually paying between 0.50x and 2x my stake. Wilds often landed in stacks of two or three, especially on the second reel, helping several winning combinations climb as high as 5x my bet.

Cash Prize symbols were everywhere, but Collect symbols were much harder to find. Whenever both appeared together, the fifth-reel Collect expanded and gathered every visible cash value, giving me returns between 7.50x and 13x my bet. Those moments easily outperformed anything the regular paylines had to offer.

Eventually, I landed the three Bonus Scatters needed for 10 Free Spins. The feature works a lot like the Big Bass series, where Collect symbols unlock progressively stronger upgrades and award extra spins and multipliers as you collect more of them. Unfortunately, I never managed to land more than two Collect symbols during the entire bonus, so none of the better upgrades ever came into play. My total payout stopped at just 35.50x my bet.

To be fair to Blueprint Gaming, I’m sure the Crazy Chilli 2 slot can produce some strong wins, especially with its cash prizes and jackpots. That said, the visuals and mechanics feel like they were ripped out of the late 2010s, and the bonus game is way too inconsistent to hold out for.
