The base game is played on a 5x3 grid with 20 paylines and medium volatility. Wins during the base game are quite low because you’re trying to get to the features as quickly as you can. From my experience, you can expect to get returns between 0.4x to 8x returns every 5 to 8 spins. 

The first and most common feature when Kong wakes from his slumber is the Banana Cannon Wilds feature. It turns random symbols into sticky wilds for a single spin or even awards an extra spin in rare cases. I was winning between 8x to 15x returns with the bonus game which makes it quite profitable to land. With the respins I easily bumped that number up to 20x to 34x returns.

The Golden Barrel feature is up next and adds mystery symbols in place to add more winning combinations. From my testing, this feature is much rarer but got me between 18x to 34x returns which was the second-highest amount I’d won during my gameplay. 

The King Kong Spin Streak is the third feature which can trigger randomly and turn a winning combination sticky. After that, the reels keep spinning until a bigger win than before is granted. Although not very profitable, it is a nice change of pace and a relatively simple feature. 

The King Kong Bonus also brings its own set of features which you can either collect or gamble away. Among them, I’d definitely recommend going for the Golden Free Spins as they get you a bigger 5x4 grid and 40 paylines which are much better than the regular Empire free spins. 

As you need consistent wins to get higher on the empire tower, wins generally range between 15x to 23x your bet but the golden spins can easily double that as they did in my case. You also have a feature gamble mini-game but it can get quite risky especially as getting to the features is quite hard. I would not recommend using the gamble option there. 

With that said, Blueprint Gaming has outdone itself with King Kong Cash. I didn’t have a single dull moment in the game thanks to the sheer number of features present in the base game and the bonus rounds. I’d recommend trying it out for free and getting accustomed to the many features here.
