The solid mechanics and popular features aside, here’s why I enjoyed this game a lot! 

The detailed artwork behind the reels and the calm background music inside the game make it not just a treat for the eyes but also fun to play. In contrast, the symbols here are quite basic with lower-paying symbols denoted by gemstones and higher ones by artifacts. The game comes with a 3x3 grid with 5 paylines so I already knew the base game was going to be slow. 

However, I was quite shocked to see just how hard landing symbol combinations were during my playthrough. To get between 2x to 6x wins, I would have to spin the reels over ten times fairly regularly. 

While occasional wins of up to 10x my bet kept things interesting, the base game itself lacked excitement. Without any features to spice things up, the real hope for substantial wins rested solely on the bonus rounds to compensate for the lackluster regular gameplay.

It took me nearly 70 spins to trigger the feature by which point I was suffered significant losses in the base game. To advance to this round, you need to land 2 bonus symbols and a single collect symbol which was easier said than done. After triggering the feature, you get 3 spins and each time you land a coin or jackpot symbol on the reels, your spins are reset to 3. 

The collect symbol will keep increasing in value by taking in the coin and jackpot symbols you land during the round and clearing their occupied spaces. Unlike other slots, the number of spaces doesn’t go down as you spin the reels plus you can land extra collect symbols which also get value from the coin and jackpot symbols. 

These features made the Hold and Win bonus game a complete game-changer during my playthrough as I landed 3 collect symbols during the round and got a massive 100x win using the feature despite the fact that I did not manage to land a single jackpot!
