Pyro Joker Slot Review & Free Play

Pyro Joker: Hand the Matches to a Grinning Jester

Evoplay introduces us to Pyro Joker. It’s a fruity, old-school slot that runs on a 5x3 grid and 10 paylines, where you can spin for joker wilds and respins as the only features in the game.

My base game couldn’t survive on symbol payouts alone. The highest paying one is the red seven, which pays 25x your bet for five of a kind. That’s not that bad, but my returns never passed 1.5x my bet, which is very low since those combos formed only every five to 10 spins.

The rest of the fruit didn’t help much, with watermelons, grapes, oranges and plums in the middle, and lemons and cherries at the bottom paying just 2.5x for five. Lines count from both directions too, but even that couldn’t change much.

On the other hand, I liked how whenever a joker landed, I knew that 90% of the time something good would happen. He only shows up on the three middle reels, and when he does, he spreads across the whole reel, sets it on fire and stays put while you get a respin.

Each new joker that lands afterward does the same and adds another one, up to 3 in total, and a respin without a new joker ends the round. Everything the respins win then goes on top of the spin that started them. Up until around my 100th spin, this feature worked overtime to cover the base game’s losses.

A joker showed up roughly once in six to eight spins, and almost always connected for wins between 1x and 9.2x my bet. But after some time, respins became weaker and rarer, and the regular payouts kept my balance low.

Overall, Pyro Joker is a classic slot edition with two segments that must work together if you want to have a profitable session. And my playthrough showed how a weaker part can drain your balance fast.
