Jolly Poker by FAZI: The Chase For A Mystery Jackpot!
Eduard Marin rated this game:
2 out of 5
Jolly Poker by FAZI promised a lot, but in my experience, it fell disappointingly short. At first glance, the game seemed inviting with its colorful interface and lively graphics. The promise of a jolly good time was there, but as I delved deeper, the flaws became glaringly obvious.
Let's start with the good stuff. The game has a pretty simple and straightforward interface. You don't need a PhD in rocket science to figure out how to play. It's great for casual gamers or folks who just want a quick poker fix without all the bells and whistles. The graphics are decent, nothing mind-blowing, but they get the job done.
The music and sound effects, well here is another story. The background music is all but missing, while the sound effects are decent, but they tend to become annoying after a while. I’ve got to give low points for this, as I pretty much turned the sound off after a few hands.
Another big downside is the lack of variety in the game. Don’t get me wrong, I like a pure poker experience, but I think that online poker games should try to spice up things with some extra features or funky side bets. This game has none.
Ok, mea culpa, it has a Gamble feature and a Mystery Jackpot. With the Gamble I had lots of fun, as I pretty much love it, but I don’t know what to tell you about the Mystery Jackpot… I mean it remained a mystery to me, as I wasn’t able to trigger it in my time spent playing this game. And I did spend some good time with it.
This brings me to another downside of this game, and I am talking about the game’s algorithm. The randomness of the card distribution often feels suspect, with improbable hands occurring far too frequently. This lack of genuine randomness raises doubts about the game's fairness. I for one, felt a bit robbed, but maybe it’s just me.
Overall, Jolly Poker by FAZI is a basic poker game that's good for a quick fix but lacks the depth and challenge that more serious poker players are looking for. If you're just looking to kill some time with a simple poker game, it might do the trick. But I advise caution, as you can burn through your bank account real quick!
- Gamble feature
- Mystery Jackpots
- No side bets
- Bad audio design
- Not lucrative
