Here’s how my session left me scratching my head.

It can land anywhere except the first reel, which immediately limits some of its usefulness. 

Base game wins generally landed between 0.75x and 2.20x my bet every few spins, and those stacked Wilds were largely responsible for keeping things afloat. On several occasions, two Wild stacks landed side by side, pushing otherwise average wins up to around 4x returns.

The real attraction is the Trinity Link bonus feature. Colored bonus symbols can randomly trigger a hold-and-respin style bonus that starts with three respins. Depending on the color of the triggering symbol, different modifiers can activate. Green symbols trigger the Boost feature, Red symbols activate Double, and Blue symbols unlock Collect. 

There's also a Mystery Symbol that can transform into bonus prizes, multipliers, jackpot symbols, or additional feature symbols. My first bonus arrived fairly early and triggered with the Boost modifier active. This added a 2x value to the coin symbols on the reels before the respins even began.  Most of the coin values I saw struggled to climb beyond 3x on their own, so the extra multipliers did a lot of the heavy lifting. 

The feature eventually finished with a respectable 38.50x win. One mechanic I wasn't entirely sold on was the progression system attached to the bonus pots. After my first feature, I needed to collect 15 additional Boost symbols to unlock the next stage. Instead of advancing toward the Collect feature, I simply triggered another Boost bonus. That second round was less impressive, ending at 29.50x my bet.  

Overall, Trinity Gold Coins Running Wins does a decent job of modernizing the classic fruit machine formula. The Wild stacks keep the base game active, and the Trinity Link bonus adds enough variety to stay interesting. I just wish the coin values were larger, because too often the modifiers felt more important than the rewards they were multiplying.
