Right from the start, I have to say I really enjoyed the shifting scenery that adds a cool 3D effect to the game. The 5x3 grid is packed with iconic dinosaurs from the movie and the familiar faces of its characters. The 243 fixed paylines and medium volatility had me optimistic about some steady wins throughout the session. 

But all is not as it seems. After a few spins, I realized that wins took between 3 to 6 spins to hit and usually brought in small payouts, ranging from 0.33x to 1x my bet for lower symbols and up to 2.5x for higher ones. Even though the paylines allow for wins on adjacent reels, I rarely saw payouts go above 4.50x my bet. It kept the gameplay engaging but I realised early on that the base game wasn’t sustainable. 

The random wilds feature was the only saving grace here as it would show up occasionally to help me boost my wins. Although not always successful, the few times it worked, it got me big wins between 7x to 10.50x my bet which I appreciated a lot. Big wins would follow but for that I’d have to land 3 scatter symbols which wasn’t super hard to do, to be fair. 

When I finally triggered the free spins bonus, one of the five random mini-games was activated. I ended up with the Velociraptor mini-game, which gave me 12 free spins featuring multipliers and split wilds. With my sights set on hitting the 6x wild multiplier, I started the round and landed a few solid wins. Even though I only managed to get a 4x multiplier at best, I still walked away with a 28.80x win, which seemed to be the average payout for this feature. 

I was determined to try out the other free spin features, and the biggest wins came from the Brachiosaurus and Triceratops rounds. The Brachiosaurus free spins added a mystery multiplier up to 6x, while the Triceratops spins brought a new wild with each spin. Both features nearly hit the 50x mark, making Jurassic Park worth a thumbs up from me. It captures the movie’s vibe perfectly and has decent potential for solid payouts!
