When a slot promises up to 1000x in wins, I want to see and try it, and Romanov Riches was one of those games. Starting with the looks, I was immediately captivated by the grandeur that Microgaming has woven into the backdrop. Then again, my gaming experience has taught me that with big promises sometimes come big disappointment, so I decided to stick to $1 spins to see how things go.

It took 12 spins to trigger a respin when two reels were covered in the A playing card symbol. The first respin ended in a $2 win, which wasn't bad considering my bet size, even though, for some reason, I expected more. However, the feature triggered again and landed me another $3, bringing my total win to $5. Yet another respin followed and brought my balance up to $8, concluding the round.

Needless to say, the respins were the most fun part of the game for me, mainly because I retriggered the feature with the playing card J symbol on my 16th spin. I won $3.75 this time and retriggered again with the 10 playing card symbol. At this point, I got bored and wanted something more from this release as it became evident that the theme didn't match the first-hand experience.

Not that from the paytable and game information, I knew that the crown jewel lies in its bonus wheels. However, by my 60th spin, I still hadn’t triggered it, which was disappointing, so I don’t recommend you chase this feature. It’s a good slot if you just want to burn some time while waiting in line, but not recommended for thrills or win-seekers.
