Hacksaw Gaming parks Nitro Nights at the edge of an underground racing scene, where tuned cars sketch out under neon signs and Korean street markers. Behind the splash, Burnout chains flood the grid with wilds, position multipliers climb to 5x, and a progress bar fills as the chain runs. The king of the streets will be rewarded with rewards up to 15,000x.

Base game-wise, I got hits about every three or four spins, mostly in the 0.5x to 2x range. Pistons did most of the work, with the V-engine top symbol popping up once in a while for a 4x or 5x.

Then, out of nowhere, a nitro symbol landed on a spin I’d half stopped watching. The whole screen lit up, the nitro locked itself in as a wild nitro, five more wilds dropped onto the reels, and a 3x multiplier landed directly on one of them.

Then the nitrous bar at the top kicked in. Each Nudge pushes the regular symbols down a row, dropps new ones from the top, and keeps the Wilds and the multiplier where they were. The chain ran until the bar emptied. That spin closed at 38.5x my bet.

A few spins later, three scatters lined up and dropped me into Seoul, one of three bonus tiers, 8 spins long. The mechanics carry over from the base game, just with more nitro symbols in play. Around the fifth spin, a Wild Nitro carried the round with a chain worth 14x my bet on its own. The whole bonus closed at 16.4x. A little less than I hoped, but still green, and I genuinely admired the design.

Further up the ladder, Tokyo bonus ramps things up with a multiplier that grows during every Nudge. Finally, the Fukushima runs as a single extended spin with no cap on the Nitrous Bar. The bonus buy options start at 5x your bet and go all the way to 200x for a loaded Tokyo feature.

Overall, this edition is fast and a little furious. Jokes aside, I had a strong session, and I think there’s no way you can catch everything in one play. That said, the streets of Nitro Nights will see me again.
