Tower Poker by Igrosoft: A Medieval Twist on 5 Card Draw Poker
Vlad Baciu rated this game:
4 out of 5
I've always been a fan of poker, and when I came across Tower Poker by Igrosoft, I was eager to dive into this medieval-themed 5 card draw poker adventure. I'm excited to share my gaming experience and insights with you.
The gameplay of Tower Poker brings a unique twist to the classic 5 card draw. After setting my bet, I was dealt five cards and the game automatically selects the best hand for you. Of course, you can choose to override the selection if you think you can improve your hand. With up to three card deals available, the stakes are high, and the strategy is crucial. I was delighted to discover that I could change my cards up to two times after the first deal.
Additionally, Tower Poker offers a Risk Game, where you can double your winnings. It's simple: choose a card higher than the dealer's far-left card to win. The game also introduces a Tower Bonus, ranging from 1 to 100 bets, which accumulates with your winnings after the final deal of the round. I must say, I had a blast playing this unique variant of poker.
Visually, Tower Poker is a mixed bag. The medieval theme is well represented, with the cards depicting various characters, adding a nice touch. When I chose to hold cards, they were shackled with chains to metal balls, emphasizing the medieval setting. However, the style is somewhat cartoonish, and the background features a more realistic castle and stone walls. On the downside, the text appears a bit blurry, and the buttons are displayed outside the screen, giving the impression of an older game. In terms of graphics, I found it a little outdated, but it didn't hinder my overall experience.
The sound effects and medieval music in the game fit the theme well, creating an immersive ambiance and enhancing the overall gameplay. From a usability perspective, Tower Poker's user interface is intuitive and user-friendly. Everything is responsive and functions as expected, making for a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience.
In conclusion, despite its somewhat outdated graphics, Tower Poker by Igrosoft delivers an engaging 5 card draw poker game with a medieval twist. Its unique features and gameplay kept me entertained for quite a while, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fresh take on classic poker. Give it a try and see if you can conquer the medieval Tower Poker tables.
