Golden Goddess: Find Golden Symbol Stacks For Free Spins

IGT's Golden Goddess takes us into an ancient Greek setting with a colourful goddess, doves, horses and plenty of purple and gold across the reels. Super Stacks are the main attraction, with randomly selected symbols filling large stacks and creating some surprisingly long combinations. Let's see how the goddess treated me during my session.

The game uses a 5x3 grid with 40 paylines, and winning combinations usually took around three to four spins to appear for me. Regular wins generally landed between 0.30x and 3.37x my bet, although the large stacks made longer combinations fairly common. When the same symbol appeared across multiple paylines, I regularly saw returns climb to 3.50x to 5.40x from regular symbols alone.

The Super Stacks feature selects a symbol before each spin and fills the reels with stacks of that symbol. The same symbol can appear on multiple reels, and getting matching stacks on adjacent reels can create some chunky combinations. Bonus scatters can also appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 during the base game, eventually giving you access to the free spins bonus.

Nine Bonus scatter symbols across the centre three reels trigger the bonus picker, where you choose a symbol to reveal either a Goddess, Man, Horse or Dove. Whichever one you reveal becomes the Super Stacks symbol across all reels for the seven free spins. I only triggered it once, but managed to get a 35.37x return, and I didn’t miss it much considering how active the base game was.

Golden Goddess surprised me with how often the Super Stacks produced longer combinations, making the base game much more rewarding than the free spins bonus I eventually landed. The game looks pretty decent as well, if you can bear with the simpler graphics and animations, the Golden Goddess slot demo is well worth a try.
